Program / Community Co-ordinator

Role Overview:

We are launching an accelerator program in the Algarve to support budding startups and entrepreneurs. We’re seeking a dedicated Program / Community Co-ordinator to oversee the day-to-day running of the program, ensure participants have the resources they need, and foster a vibrant, supportive community. This role will involve working closely with partners, organising events, and managing our online community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring the smooth running of the accelerator program and that participants have the resources and support required.
  • Community Engagement: Manage our online community, fostering connections between members, sharing updates, and maintaining an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Event Organisation: Plan and execute regular events for the accelerator community, including workshops, networking events, and meet-ups.
  • Partner Collaboration: Work closely with our partners to organise collaborative initiatives, secure resources, and support the program’s growth.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain a structured calendar for the accelerator, coordinating with speakers, mentors, and partners to keep events on track.
  • Promotion & Representation: Actively promote the accelerator and represent our community at local events, expanding our reach within the Algarve and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Most importantly the candidate should be a confident self-starter who knows how to figure things out and work around problems.
  • Ability to work hard and play hard.
  • Ideally experience in entrepreneurship, education, or community management.

  • Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with experience in event planning and community building a plus.
  • Location Flexibility: Willingness to work between Portimão/Lagos as required.
